Classroom Guidance
Lessons may be presented in classrooms throughout the school year to assist all students in succeeding socially, emotionally, and academically. They are developmentally appropriate and are designed to increase students’ awareness and skill in character and other common issues all students face. Class lessons allow the counselor to get to know the students, and for students to know the counselor so that they feel comfortable in seeking services when in need.
Responsive Services
Responsive services consist of prevention and/or intervention activities to meet students’ immediate and future needs. These needs can be necessitated by events and conditions in students’ lives and the school climate and culture, and may require any of the following:
Divorce, grief, self-concept, self-control, anger management, friendship, social skills, academic skills.
Parent conferences and consultations are an important part of my job! I am available to meet with parents and teachers to discuss ways to better meet the needs of students. So, if you have specific concerns about your child that may impact his/her school success, please give me a call to set up an appointment.
